Homework is lame. You know they say that you always work better under pressure!

Who We Are

We play games! But seriously, folks...

The RIT Chapter of the Electronic Gaming Society is a student-run organization at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. EGS:RIT was formed in 2000, and since, has been providing numerous events for gamers in the greater Rochester area and beyond. EGS:RIT is a recognized student club at RIT, and joins RWAG and the RIT Anime Club to form the "Unholy Trinity" of geek/nerd culture clubs at RIT.

Our Mission

EGS' mission is to provide the best gaming events to all varieties of gamers on the East Coast. We aim to make Rochester a gaming hotspot for professional and casual gaming, and look to attract interest from all over the country. In addition to this goal, we provide regular PC and console gaming events for the gaming population of RIT. We look to get gamers out of their rooms, and into social situations where they can bond with other individuals who share the same interests. While there are no events going on, we encourage an active online community via this website, our forums, our IRC channel, our game servers, and our Steam and XFIRE groups.

Constitution and Bylaws

All EGS Chapters abide by a written Constitution which govern the functionality of the organization. All aspects of the chapter are covered in these documents and we recommend all EGS members read them, as to better understand the organization they are a part of.
